The Bloom Saloon | Fredericksburg, VA

Care BLUF:

Water needs: Moderate
Light needs: Bright indirect light
Pet toxicity: Toxic to pets if ingested
Temperature preferences: 65–80°F (18–27°C)

Care Notes:

This bold, polka-dotted statement plant with deep green leaves and silvery spots. The undersides are rich and red that make this particular begonia extra special. Grab this plant if you want something eye-catching, a little dramatic, and totally worth the attention.

Light & Placement Tips

Bright indirect light is best.

  • East or south facing windows with filtering

  • Avoid low light (can get leggy)

  • No harsh direct sun

  • Keep in a stable spot, doesn’t love being moved often

Watering Tips

Water when the top 1-2 inches of soil are dry.

Begonia prefers:

  • Lightly most soil

  • Well-draining mix

  • Consistent watering schedule

  • Never allow standing water

Common Overwatering Symptoms

  • Mushy stems

  • Yellowing leaves

  • Leaf drop

Common Underwatering Symptoms

  • Drooping leaves

  • Crispy edges

  • Dry soil

Bloom Saloon Tips

This one likes a little humidity but not soggy soil. Think “lightly pampered, not overdone.” If it starts getting leggy, just needs more light (and maybe a trim!)
